Eleven year-old Jessica Rios Caicedo is Flor Yamileth Caicedo’s oldest daughter. Jessica lives with her parents. For her, her siblings are her friends; she doesn’t trust the other children in her neighborhood. “A friend is someone who defends you; who is there for you; who doesn’t betray you. That’s why my mom is my mother and friend, my mom protects us by not allowing us to go out on the streets, and not allowing us to play with friends that could put me in trouble.”
